AGAIN my posts are being deleted

by sdchargersfan » Mon Feb 02, 2009 10:51 am

Well.........apparently I am having posts being deleted again. I don't know which MOD is doing it. However....I am getting no explanation to this action. LAKEMEN..maybe you can do something about this. Why should I post here if my advice/coments are being deleted? Does anyone have this much trouble???????!!!!!!!

Well Lori, I was hoping to make you spit out some coffee, but I guess I'll have to settle for "hurting your head". Just kidding, I hope you are well.

I read a lot more here than I post, and I understand the frustration that folks have with the "someone will be along shortly to help" posts. When you know who the ones are who regularly do it you just pass them by. Please don't forget that along with helping people this forum needs to be somewhat entertaining to keep the "helpers" coming back. You gain a lot more respect for the pros when you can see their personalities come through.

There have been a few original posts that I have seen that looked to me like the posters just trying to learn to communicate in english. I didn't think that they would likley be able to find their way back to the thread they had started. It wasn't my intent to be cruel to anyone, I just found it funny like those t-shirts that have sentences that make no sense. JMT

great point Dave...I couldn't agree more...

you got that right! and it's really frustrating at time...

I didn't think that they would likley be able to find their way back to the thread they had started.

 likely, I always hope that even if (any) op doesn't return that there is enough information for someone that 'reads' the threads that is in a similar position...IMO that happens WAY more than people posting or starting new threads with their own problems...

It wasn't my intent to be cruel to anyone, I just found it funny like those t-shirts that have sentences that make no sense. JMT

 I can't imagine anyone being offended...and it pretty much sounded like some of our OP's!  You are so clever DAve, I was trying to figure out the 'code' of your sentence!  glad to know there wasn't one!

On the subject of pros, there are two that had valuable input and I have not seen them for a while. Life Is Good and Insurance Investigator?

Ya know Dave I was wondering that too. I sent a pm to Life about a month ago and he seemed pretty busy with some other business. I was hoping he would stop back in and post with us. I really enjoyed the humor and good advice he put forth. He is such a down to earth preson who could help you understand something and bring a smile to your face at the same time. I hope he comes back soon.

I don't know about our investigator....likely hunting and choping down giant agents that are of low character, and have it coming! I'll try and send him a note soon...I miss his posts as well.

Investigator will be back.

I just wanted to add my two cents worth concerning the deletion of posts by moderators.

I have seen many, many "copy and paste" articles which are quite lengthy and very difficult to read.

I just don't think these long articles add anything to the conversation when a simple "link" to the material would accomplish the same thing.

Then, if someone had the time to read a 1,000 word article, it could be done at the member's (guest's) convenience.

Well..........I DO aplologize if I'm taking a post 'wrong' or if I'm misunderstanding someone.

Maze, I couldn't agree more...

SD, do you get the 'joke' he was making now? I found it pretty darn funny..

I didn't get it (t's post) right away..duh! but when I did SD I had to laugh. I am sure he was just joking and did not mean it in a bad way.

Sdchargersfan is complaining about her posts getting deleted, its time that we clear our stand in this regard.

JUANITA: Yes, I am complaining about this problem. By the way..what's this "our" stuff? I really don't care if you're a MOD or not. You're no more 'special' than anyone ELSE on this forum.

There is no harm in presenting a view but it should be backed with evidences.

When does anyone have to have ANY kind of "evidence" for views/opinions? That's why they are called opionions...everyone has them.

I'd only present my personal opinion on this issue.

That's EXACTLY what it is, JUANITA......YOUR personal opinion. Do ya 'get it' yet?? I DO want to thank LORI and LAKEMEN for their 'clarity on this issue.
