Hi guys !
This is April from Aspen Ave. Colorado Springs, just wanted you guys to get to the bottom of something dangerous and sad.
Last Wednesday a SAN JOSE couple got caught after planting a severed finger in a bowl at Wendys chili, in a scam to extort money from the fast-food chain, and was sentenced to at least nine years in prison. Anna Ayala, 40, who said she bit into the digit, was sentenced to nine years and her husband, Jaime Plascencia, 44, who obtained the finger from a co-worker who lost it in a workplace accident, was sentenced to more than 12 years. In September, the two pleaded guilty to a conspiracy, to file a false insurance claim and attempted grand theft with damages exceeding $2.5 million. The Dublin, Ohio-based fast food chain claimed it lost $2.5 million in sales because of the bad publicity, and dozens of workers at the company's Northern California franchises were laid off.

Hey there !
It feels nice logging in and have something worthy every time. I have a few news updates to add to yours... it was reported of late, that in North Carolina thirteen suspects were arrested on fraudulent cases of motorcycle wreckage. Investigators from the State Department of Insurance estimated worth 13 wrecks to have been staged between February and June 2005. The suspects were charged with prominent cases like financial identity fraud, cases for obtaining property by false pretensions and also for other conspiracies.
In fact all of us are bearing the effects of such kinds of insurance frauds in a way, that whatever the cost an insurance company incurs, actually passes on to the customers. These frauds result in a considerable rise of our premium rates. So its high time guys, that we unite for a scam-free world!
Cheers.. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved.

Really it is dangerous, and horrifying too!
To speak more about fraud I wanna convey to you people some more info.
According to a survey by Conning & Co. it was estimated that insurance fraud had cost the industry some $96.2 billion in 1999. Moreover the company estimated in 2001, that insurance fraud costs the common American household around $5,000 a year in the form of higher premiums. And surprisingly insurance fraud is the second largest white-collar crime in the US, next to income tax evasion, costing Americans billions of dollars each year.
So we should keep ourselves conscious about the insurance frauds, as they are costly indeed for the common people. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved.
