Hi Tcope, I don't think it'd be easy for a stunt man to get life and health insurance. The insurer will rate them as high-risk individuals. I wonder even they would at all cover stunt men!?!

Even if the insurance companies do have plans for the stunt men I'm sure the cost of such insurance will be sky high. I have heard of entertainment insurance somewhere. I guess it might cover stuntmen in high packed action movies. I bet the cost will be really high for these 'high risk' customers

There is no difference between the type of insurance available to stunt artists.
These people are vulnarable to risk. they are supposed to get themselves insured before getting into any act which may cause injury .
The insurance types are generally Health And Life Insurance. but the premium would be much higher due to large exposure to risk.
Accident cover and serious casualty are the most important riders which are attached to their policies.

it will depend on what they do also.
they will still need :
assets to cover tools of the trade
vehicle if they drive/own one
public liability insurance for accidental loss to property and bodily injury.
income protection for sickness or injury. ( they would pay higher premuims and with injury have a longer stand down period or have it excluded.
hope this helps.
sounds like your doing insurance exams :)
