|

| I hit a wild 4oo# wild hog (pig) with my vehicle. I was injured and under Dr care for nearly 3 months. I am finally released. I have used up my PIP coverage. Should I and how do I settle with my insurance company to recover all losses from this accident? |

I don't think that UM would qualify...Did your carrier tell you that you are entitled to an injury settlement in addition to your PIP? If so what state are you in? _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake. In Texas, I have not discussed it with them yet. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

OP, you wouldn't qualify for an injury settlement under your UM coverage for hitting a hog. Well, let's say in 22 years I've never heard of it...Do let us know though if your carrier (Texas) says different. You should only be entitled to your PIP or medpay. _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake. | Your health insurance should kick in and cover the rest of the expenses once your auto insurance coverage is exhausted. |
