Not after it happens...but your homeowners policy may cover it, it depends on the source of the water. Definately have a look at your home insurance policy, some cover the result caused by the damage but not the cost of repairing the leak

Hi bwebb1310 If the water leak is a result of your negligence then I'm afraid you won't be covered. You must check your policy to find out what kind of coverage you are entitled to for damage from water leakage. _________________ AmPmInsure Blog

Why would you say that? If not intentional, negligence can be considered accidental and would be covered under most policies.
