car accident plz help

Posted: Fri Oct 02, 2009 6:58 am   Post subject: car accident plz help   can some one help me and tell me what could happen i was coming from dallas to laredo and my friend was driving my car i was in the passenger side and i was trying to fall asleep and a car hit use from behide and i just heard my firend say oh damn and i woke up with all this smoke and she has no dl and the car that hit us from behide pushed us under an 18 wheeler we both suffered lower back problems we are going to treatment and what will happen to her will she go to jail? oh and when the cops got there and i told them that i was driving and then i got scared so i told him the truth and i asked if i was going to go to jail because i said i was driving and she just got a ticket whats going to happen to me for liying to the cop and whats going to happen to her? can anyone help me plz and thank you for your time on reading this topic	yessika1990 New member Joined: 02 Oct 2009 Posts: 2 1.71 Dollars($)

You (or your friend) might have to cough up a handsome amount as fine. As far as you are concerned, no, you won't be jailed for lying to the police and then telling them the truth. Yo have insurance don't you? Did you take down information about the other driver or the car? If you have personal injury protection (PIP) then that will cover for your medical bills. The ticket that your friend received will have a certain time limit by which you may either pay it or contest it in court.
