have a question for anyone out there what do i do if i had a accident and my car is in the repair shop and the insurance company sends me a check, (i have all intentions to get the car fixed) then my finance company repo the car and tell me that they are going to get the car and they didnt even get to do the work, do i just say i lost my car because i really cant afford it anymore but i need my car and now i have this check in my name what to do?  _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

| First you need to remember that your car is not your car, yet. Your finance company needs to be sure the vehicle will be repaired if it does become a repo. The insurance check is your money. Can you still drive the vehicle without it being repaired? If so, you can use the money to pay the leinholder. Do you know how much it's worth? Do you know if your upside down in it? You could have it repaired, sell it, pay it off and buy a more affordable car. |

| Has the car already been repossessed or is it in the process? Like stated above, if it is drivable with out the repairs you may want to use the insurance money to pay your payment! |
