My vehicle was 2004 Nissan Armada Le. 4 wheel drive in excellent condition before accident. The estimate to fix my vehicle was 16,000.00. Is it possible to have them give me the repair check to fix myself and give me a salvage tital?

Do you own a bodyshop? If not then don't expect to get the whole $16,000 as a large chunk of that is for professional labor, which they will not pay you for unless you are, in fact, a professional. Also, if you have a loan on the Armada, your lender may not be okay with this plan. Those two points aside, yes. You do have the option of doing your own repairs.
