|
|
My place of employment suffered a fire. I have been informed of a clause in our insurance relating to paying employees for loss of wages. I have been asked to be a part of the clean up crew from the fire, and have been told that the insurance will be paying for my work. I am wondering if I should be paid, however, by my company directly, for the work that I will be performing, and be paid separately under the insurance provision, for my regular job, that I will not be able to perform.
Thanks for any and all information that you can provide me with. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

The wages you would have been paid for the time you were out of work, or in your case a place to work.
If you want to work for free, thats your choice. You be paid by the insurance provision provided by your employers carrier. |

I'd have to see this policy to be able to intelligently answer your question. Has anyone explained to you exactly how this works? As well as the rate you'll be paid? _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake.
