if you have life insurance at work and you have a baby and that baby dies after 2 weeks of life is there coverage for that baby

Some group plans offered at work allow up to 31 days to report an addition to the family and commonly coverage is in effect for the additional insured for that period of time.
You'll have to check with your benefits people (normally HR) at work for clarification on this. Good luck, and I'm sorry about the child.

Anyway, I agree with InsTeacher. The best thing to know about your life insurance at work is to ask the people in your company who are in charge of taking care of this. It is important that you know everything you need and want to know, just in case you have another child.
