Can a homeowner's claim be denied if an office is in the hom

My neighbor could be at risk, wants to know.

There is no exclusion I know of for this... and I work out of my home. I've not looked at my HO policy but there might not be coverage for business personal property or it might be limited.

Working from your home would not increase the risk of a loss. There are many people that stay in their homes doing things all day long.

It would (as T stated) depend on the loss. Most HO policys have a limit on business property.

Frankly, I'd be more concerned about the liability coverage.

Are any clients or customers coming to the house?
What kind of office?

Many more concerns need to be explored here. Homeowner policies have a LOT of exclusions for businesses located in the home.
