Is there a way to request the carpet insurance company to replace all carpeted areas as opposed to areas outside of doored areas. My carpet is the same throughout, if I get a different carpet it will not look the same, nor will it put me where I was before the incident. is there a way to request that they replace all the carpet to match. I live in Texas and I have USAA

USAA - I doubt it. You can always work your way up the chain of command and see what answer you get. They really don't owe you for carpet in rooms that are not open to where the damage is located.

Persuade,

I'd suggest looking at a negotiated settlement with your insurer. See if they will give you the money they would have spent on the repair, and put that towards the cost of recarpeting.

the insurers liability is to repair the damage, not replace the rest of your carpet too.
