I HAD WATER DAMAGE.ONLY PART OF THE PADDING WAS REPLACED,THE TOILET WAS NOT REMOVED BEFORE INSTALLING FLOOR AND BASEBOARD MOLDING WAS NOT REPLACED IN MOST OF THE AREAS.THIS WAS ALL MENTIONED IN THE CONTRACT. ALSO, IN THE FINAL INVOICE FROM THE CONTRACTOR.HE IS INCLUDING THE RECOVERABLE DEPRECIATION IN THE BILL. I FEEL THIS IS WRONG AND WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO GIVE ME SOME ADVICE AS THIS IS MY FIRST CLAIM.
SINCERELY

Your problem does not seem to be with the claim or insurance company. Your issue appears to be with the contractor. Call your insurance company on Monday and let them know if that any money left should be payable to you and you only. If the contractor gets this, you have no power to get him back on the job. Then talk to the contractor and let them know your concerns and that you want it fixed right.

You need to contact your adjuster and let them know the work is complete. They will have you send one or more of the following; photos, final invoice from contractor, or they will send someone out to verify that it is complete. They will then send you the final payment. I would still hold the check if the work is not complete to your satisfaction.
