Was in carwreck 3 1/2 yrs. ago, still waiting to go to trial. I now need SI joint surgery. Lawyer says, bank will not loan that kinda money for surgery. I have medical card, but doctor does not accept it---so who pays for surgery.

I would think your attorney would have better advise for you, after all he's getting a hefty chunk of YOUR money.. :roll:Lawyer says, bank will not loan that kinda money for surgery.
There's a nice piece of advise...no bank will loan a lot of money for an 'unsecured' debt...you can however get a second on your home, use a credit card, get a title loan, the list goes on and on..however there is no way to KNOW that the other carrier will ultimately pay for this...I have medical card, but doctor does not accept it
-does that mean health insurance? Why don't you find a doc that accepts your card?--so who pays for surgery.
