my mother is 83 and I found out she has very minial insurance. She is healthy never smokes and is on a limited income so I want to help her with her funeral expenses.

This is a good idea since she is only 2 years away from reaching the maximum age for eligibility in final expense insurance. The good part is, that there is no medical exam required and there are level premiums that build cash value and ha guaranteed coverage till you pay your premiums of course. There are several companies that offer final expense and you can check them online through their websites.
