I got fired due to my own mistake, but i cant find a job since im so far into my pregnancy no one will hire me!I got fired 2 months ago and I have been recieving unemployment but i just got a paper stating my last employer is appealing my eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits. what does that mean if i am under my moms insurance. Will i not recieve my unemployment checks anymore.

I don't understand the 'under mom's insurance part' what does that have to do with unemployment? You may lose your unemployment yes...but you also may not...did the letter just tell you they were appealing it? Did you call them (unemployment office) to ask them what would happen? Is this the only job that you worked? If not how long have you worked prior to this job you were fired from?

Being on your mom's insurance shouldn't really be an issue. They're appealing because your being on unemployment can have a negative effect on you, and apparently it is.

Since you admit that you were fired due to your own mistakes, its not surprising that your employer is appealing your eligibility for unemployment benefits as you need to fulfill the series of legal eligibility requirements. The unemployment benefits are dictated by state laws and there is an appeal process available where you can challenge the determination. However, being on your your mom's insurance have nothing to do with your unemployment.
