Hi mred63

You can begin by checking with a body shop that you are familiar with. Ask them for an assessment of the dodge startus. Do your own research on the current market value of your car and also the ACV. If the cot to repair the car is more than the ACV then it may be termed totaled by an insurance company.

Yes, they do...they just call it something else...the carrier owes you the ACV (actual cash value)...if you'd like post the mileage, ALL options, and 'which' 06 stratus it is, (SXT or R/T, 4cyl, or v6) also if ANY unrepaired prior damage--including the interior and what state you are in and I'll run it for you...oh, and don't check with the KBB, no carrier uses that.

To find out the value of your totaled car, you need to do some investigations. Go to any car selling sites like car.com or ebay and look up for the prices of the cars similar to yours in make, feature and mileage. Keep all the previous records of maintenance and repairs. To get the fair market value of your car you must negotiate with the insurance company. If they do not agree, hire an independent appraiser

No, they show the values and yes like Lori said they just call it something else. NADA has this section called pricing & information which lists the price of several car models. You may check with them.
