What is "regular" insurance? Health insurance for people? I'm not expert but I'm willing to bet pet insurance costs less then human heath insurance. Of you want to know what it costs, you need to contact a company that sells it and ask.

Presuming that pet insurance is costlier than human health insurance is a common misconception. If you go out in the market and compare costs, it will reveal that human health insurance is much costlier than pet health insurance.
