I live in DE and want to stop paying auto insurance and turn in the tags for an auto that my son used to drive. I want to keep the car however/ Is this legal to do? Can I do this and still keep the car?

Sure, you just won't be able to drive it.

curious as to why you would want to...are you parking it or garaging it? is it a collector or have sentamental value? becuase there are policies that cover theft, fire, vandalism, and even collector cars that aren being driven ofter..they are very inexpensive compared to a standard auto policy. just wondering. thanks for sharing!
