Insurance Company Wont return my calls...What Should I DO ??

I was involved in a car accident close to a year ago. Other party accepted fault. Insurance accepted fault. I finished my physical therapy, sent them the documents and bills they requested....now they wont return my calls.I just get a answering machine. I leave messages but nobody call s back. I sent the documents signature confirmation reciept...so I know somebody signed for them.

I got a phone number to there "underwriters"...I get a real person that answers the phone, but they say to call the claims dept where i only get a machine.

What should I do? I live in Texas.

Would a complaint with the Texas Dept of Insurance help?

thanks in advance for all your help.

Yes, that would probably solve the problem as normally a carrier has 30 days to settle a claim once they have property documentation unless they can show why it is taking longer. But none of this excuses why no one calls you back. File the complaint and I'm betting people start addressing your issue.

thanks for the reply...

Would it cause a problem being that it is almost a year since the accident?

Is there like a "timeframe limitation"? I mean will the insurance company say "sorry...its been over a year now...so we dont have to pay you"???

I have the Texas Dept of Insurance Complaint form open...
