Total loss and no title

Posted: Fri Jul 23, 2010 7:49 pm   Post subject: Total loss and no title   So I payed off my car a few months ago. The dealership said the title would arrive any where from 7days - 2months. Well the title never arrived and last week my car was rear ended and is now totaled. I called the finance company to find out what happened and they said it was never sent back to them but their records show is was sent out. So now their going to send me out a lien release. The insurance company gave me an extra 7 days to return the rental car which was nice of them. Now I'm freaking out because I still won't have the title and don't know what to do with the lien release. How do I get the insurance company the title from here.
