change of name in the document

it is a motor insurance as the company name has changed we would like to change the name in the document

I don't understand your post.

If the insurance company has changed its name, it's up to them to change corresponding documents. Insureds cannot make any changes to the contract.

As MAX said, if a company changes its name, it will ALSO update all the information on the policy holders records.

That's not what I said. If an insurance company changes ITS name, it will inform policyowners of the change in writing. It does not mean the insurer will reprint all of the contracts in existence. And it has nothing to do with the policyowner's information.

Insurance companies typically only change policyowner records when the policyowner informs them of the need to make a change.

The original post is lacking substance, so I don't know exactly what was being asked, only conjecturing a response.
