slip&fall

i'm deciding on not getting an attorney for my 9 yr. old daugthers case? on her falling @a local grocery store here in town. i'm thinking of coming to some agreement with the store by myself. the store has contact me about willing to pay for her bills, but also i have lost time 2 wrk as well. how i do i come about writing my own letter but in a professional way as if an attorney would? she slip&fall over eggs that had been cracked and left on the floor. she fell back real hard and didnt move for a while. her back and waist hurted at the time. i admit her in the ER and also visits to her main physian.
i just don't want to pay sooo much for an attorney. can someone help me :(

You'd simple ask or write a letter and ask that you'd be paid for your lost time. Really, this would be considered part of your daughters settlement. Look at it this way... adult A in injured and asked adult B to take time off work and pay for gas to the ER. Adult B charges adult A so Adult A asks the insurance company to pay this amount as part of the settlement.

In the end it's the same thing as the payment is going to you anyway.

The store would be wise to have you sign a release on behalf of your daughter.
