I have heard that leagally only I (or my immediate family) can drive it (and not friends, etc.) Can someone clarify this. I have a good policy with full coverage through HDI Seguros. Thank you.

You would find that information in your terms and conditions. I know our insurance, for US cars driving to Mexico, covers anyone over the age of 18, as long as they have permission from the owner. Do you have an agent in Mexico? Here's a US # 312-580-1900. Good luck.
