I recently was in an accident, where I was at fault, I side swiped a parked vehicle, I have full coverage, well, my insurance company is sending me a check for the damages, can I choose to fix my car or simply do whatever I choose?? (ex: pay bills etc)

Yes, you can have your vehicle repaired or keep the check... so long as your don't have a lien holder and the LH is not on the check.
