i have a either a 2000 or a 2001 lexus 300ES that some guy smashed into while it was parked on the side of the road and now im being told the car can not be repaired. the car has 140,000 miles on it and was wondering how i can determine the value of it.

The insurance company will give you a value. You can also review their information to make sure it's accurate. For a good idea, look at NADA.
