Everyones definition of "Full Coverage" seems to be different.

The damage you mentioned would be covered under Collision Coverage and subject to your deductible... what ever you chose that to be.

Yes, it would be covered under collision coverage. But if it's a minor one, I'd choose to pay it out of pocket.

Yeah it's up to the worth of damages that you'd decide on whether to bear the entire loss out-of-pocket or just pay the deductible. Under collision cover, you have the option to pay the deductible. Make sure you know the terms beforehand.

It's not really an "option" whether you pay the deductible or not. What Juanita is trying to say is that you can pay the full loss our of your own pocket, or you can file a claim with your insurer, in which case you will be responsible for the amount of the deductible and the insurer will pay the balance of the claim.

So if you have $600 in damages, and a $500 deductible, your insurance company will pay $100, you will pay $500, and when your next policy renewal comes, you might see an increase in the cost of your collision coverage.
