can felony retail grand theft prevent me from obtaining a insurance adjuster license? I am 34 i had flawless record until i turned 33. I had a four month span where i had exremely hard times. I lost my vehicle which in turn lost my job and then my home. I tried holding jobs while being homeless but could not do it. When u have no shower and no vehicle it becomes virtually impossible. I have no family that could help. I did it strictly for survival. I would go up to 5 days with no food also no clothes or a place to wash them. I forgot to mention i was robbed for all my cash, power tools for work, and every bit of clothes i owned. I was in the process of moving and had vehicle filled to the brim. In total it was about 8000$. I was trapped and literally dieing on the streets. I didnt know what to do. All the homeless shelters or halfway houses for men were located extremely far from any potential jobs. I couldnt make it work. I would walk for hrs to work and be digusting on arrival to work. What would be the best avenue for me to take?

You have to apply for a waiver from the Superintendent of Insurance in New York. You will probably be denied a license based on the nature of your conviction.

I had a two misdemeanor DUIs in Florida within the last 10 years. Will this prevent me from getting an insurance claims adjuster license in Florida?

I have a driving while license revoked habitual offender from 2010...Do you think this will stop me from obtaining a health insurance license?

All criminal convictions, felonies or misdemeanors, may interfere with a person's ability to obtain an insurance license. The final decision is made by the state insurance regulator.

I have 3 felonies, possession of cocain, burglary of and occupied dwelling and Larson/criminal mischief. Will these require a waiver?

Hello,

I am turning 25 in January and am wanting to get my insurance license for property and casualty. I know I will have to submit to a background check and have a couple of things that will come up on it and i was wanting to know how it may affect me. I tried contacting Texas Insurance Department but they are stating I have to take the test, pay for fingerprints, etc before they are able to tell me anything.

I received my first charge when I was 17 years old for petty theft, i pled guilty because I was. I had it deferred off my record which I know will not hide it from the State.

A couple of months ago I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was arrested for petty theft. I have not been to court but my lawyer and myself are confident that we can get it dismissed. That does not help me now however.

Is it possible for me to still receive my license?

I'm currently going to court for Possession of a Controlled Substance (less than a gram). I have not pled or been convicted of anything. Will that prevent me from getting a license or working for an insurance company?

I am thinking about taking classes to get adjustor license for 50 states. I work for insurance company in clerical but layoffs are coming jobs going overseas. Would this stop me from getting a license? Rolling Eyes

You don't get a license "for 50 states". You apply for a resident license in the state where you pay income tax and maybe apply for non-resident licenses in a couple of other states. To be licensed as an adjuster in 50 states would cost you several thousand dollars in license fees every two years. If you are not a US resident, you cannot be licensed here.
