friend slip on an ice patch near my front door, slipped and broke femur bone - needs surgery but doesn't have insurance, what is the simpliest way to file and are there any obsticles I need to know about

You pick up the phone and call your insurance company.are there any obsticles I need to know about
Not on your end.If you had some negligence then your carrier will attempt to settle under the liability portion of your policy and your rates might be affected. If you had no negligence then only the Medical Payments portion of your policy may apply.
The accident would have needed to occurred on your property or on property that you are responsible for.
