Lm insured by AAA...My car is TOTALEd..I still want to keep car..Whats LAW in state off CAlifornia? Does insurance have to honer my request..Or no? Is THere Law regarding this ossius? Thanks..Lazar

You are the owner of the property and no one can take it away. If you keep it, the carrier will deduct the salvage value of the vehicle from their offer. They may also send a request to the state that the title be changed to a salvage title.

They can certain do that. It wouldn't be wrong to do it either. It's at your own risk that you drive cars with a salvage title. You may need to take the responsibility in the event you meet with another accident.
