I have a claim against an insurance comapny and they have refused to give me the name of their insurance carrier. How do I find this information out?

You file suit and go through discovery.
You say you have a claim against the insurance company... do you really mean you filed a claim with them and they refused to pay it? If so, file a complaint with your states Dept of Ins and have them look into to the matter.

I am sorry I wrote the question wrong. I meant to say I am trying to find out the name of the insurance carrier for a contractor. I am trying to file a claim but they are refusing to give me the name of their insurance carrier

I'd check with the city, county, or state, that issued the work permit or license for the contractor. Most are required to list their insurer in order to get permits.
