| Hello. My mother worked for a company in nc which she had life insurance. My father passed and because she was the cause she could not receive the monies. Would that entitle me next in line? |

| Without a named beneficiary, the policy proceeds will usually go to the estate. But in your case, it's not quite clear why your mother's claim won't stand as 'valid'. So, unless I have more information, I can't say whether and how anyone will receive such proceeds. |

I'm confused. Your mother works for a company where she has life insurance, dad dies, moms the cause (?)...where did dad get the life insurance?
If there is a policy, then as has already been stated the company will pay someone(thing), if there is no named beneficiary it goes to the estate. If you are not a named beneficiary the money won't just go to you. Depending on the circumstances, you might be able to petition the estate and make your claim for receiving the money (you'll need to talk to an attorney for information on this). |
