At a 4-way stop intersection, I proceeded to move straight ahead after stop. I saw the other car approaching and I expected him to stop while I was crossing. He did not stop. Upon finding out that I am deaf, the police talked to only the other driver and wrote on the report that I failed to stop. It is unfair that the officer listened to only one side's story.

Certainly... and feel free to speak to the officers supervisor and raise that issue. Otherwise the officer will probably just do the same thing again. Also, request that your statement now be added to the police report.
