| insurance co. was to mail me the check for repairs to my car i never authorized the insurance co. to pay them directly. they paid them and my car isnt ready yet. |

Was this a repair shop that the insurer referred you too? Otherwise known as a Direct Repair Facility, which means they are contracted to repair the vehicle and the insurer pays them directly. If so, the insurer would not issue you payment personally. Now, if you did not authorize the shop to repair the vehicle, there may be an issue. Please post additional information.

the insurance did not refer me to this shop. This was not a direct repair facility. It was my choice where I took my auto to be repaired.

Well, you still haven't asked a question that can be answered. All you have done is made a statement that the insurance company paid the repair shop. What is your question?
