| No way to tell. You could have needed treatment for 1 day, you could have needed treatment for 4 months. You could be 18, you could be 80. So on and so forth. All of these things and much more come into play when determining what an injury is worth. |

Again.. no way to tell. You could have $2000 in medical bils... you could have $20,000. This would certailly make a difference in the settlement amount. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Until you ask about one, the insurance company will probably remain silent on the matter of a settlement. They will want to see most or all of your medical expenses, or a reasonable estimate of them if treatment is going to take an extended period of time.
Is this the time for a lawyer? NO. You won't need a lawyer unless you and the insurance company come to an impasse over what your damages are. Only if you cannot come to an agreement might a lawyer be necessary.
Direct negotiations between you and the insurance company is the best method. Once a lawyer is involved, at a cost to you of 30%-40% of your settlement, the insurance company can no longer negotiate with you directly. _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent.
