I had a DUI recently and have met all requirements, however , recently received a letter stating my insurance certificate was not on file. Posted: Mon Jul 04, 2011 5:20 am   Post subject:    It is possible to purchase "named non owner" auto coverage that will cover you when renting or using another person's auto. The SR-22 is an "after the fact" declaration that you now have coverage. I don't think that applies in your situation, other than the fact that you've had a "lapse" in continuous coverage that can affect future insurability at standard rates. _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent.
