I was recently involved in a car accident where I was at fault. The police filed it as a minor accident. The other driver filed a claim with my insurance company.
I want to ask how long is it going to take to know the cost of damages made to the other?

Depends on the extent of the damages. Your insurance company will either ask for estimate(s) or have one of their appraisers inspect the vehicle. Probably take about a week in this case. Once the vehicle is being repaired the repair shop might find additional damages. Usually a couple of weeks altogether or so.
