I was offered a settlement in a motor vehicle accident case. Should I ask for paperwork from the other party's insurance company which will verify the amount offered or just accept my lawyers' word? Everything I've seen thus far regarding the settlement amount has been typed up by my own lawyer and the check needs to clear HIS escrow account.

It's up to you. usually offers are and demands are made verbally but they can be put in writing.Add your comment
