I was in an auto accident where no one was hurt. I was driving my employers vehicle. Both me and the other driver were charged with such things as careless driving, R.E.A.P., etc. I am entering the ARD program where all charges will be dropped and I will never be convicted. The other driver admitted to guilt of some of the traffic violations and will have a bad driving record.
I got a bill fom the electric company that they are trying to collect for the damages to a utility pole. They already sent a bill to my employers' insurance company so why am I now getting a bill?

Liability is completely different then the state not adding points to your drivers license because you took some classes. I'm guessing since you were issued citations that you were, at least, partially at fault in the loss. If correct, then you may still be liable for those repair bills.
What I don't understand is why your insurance company would not be addressing this loss on your behalf.
If your bosses carrier has the bills you need to call them and ask if they are going to extend coverage to your for this loss.

Who determines if you were driving carelessly? Did someone actually witness the accident (besides the other driver)? You Insurance company should be 'standing up' for you. I'm not saying you were driving this way,..but...you were 'fighting' the tickets, why would you enter a ARD program?

I was told that if I enter the ARD program, it is automatically considered a not guilty plea and all charges with be dropped within a couple of months time. I also will "never" be convicted which means a clean record. On the other hand, the other person involved admitted to the police officer of his wrongdoing and was cited at the scene. I was never cited and how I found out about me possibly being liable as well was a summons in the mail for a hearing.
