| was in a car accident I side swiped a city bus doing maybe 20 miles a hour. The bus sustained no damage at all. I specially asked everyone if they were injured no body claimed to be injured. The next thing I know the bus driver is claiming she has back injuries and has gotten $10,000 form workman's comp she got $25,000 from my insurance now she is after the bus's insurance for more money which they may turn around and sue me for the money they might put out on her. Do I have any defense at all? I failed to mention she stood out on the sidewalk with me for at least 30-45 min and drove the bus off herself. She never asked for any medical assistance at all never mentioned she was hurt in anyway to anyone. |

If your carrier paid anything then I can guarantee you that they obtained a release from the injured person (unless it went to court, your carrier provided a defense and she obtained a judgment... which you'd know about). a release means that the other person cannot collect from you... they settled the claim. |
