i work in a smaLL company and have health insurance through my job for myself and my 19 yr old daughter. Im paying $400 monthly for ins. Right now Im in a financial bind and want to get a cheaper ins. Since my ins. is payroll ded. i've been told that I can't cancel my insurance until open enrollment, which is 7 months from now. Is there anyway I can get another ins. policy privately and how do I stop the insurance policy from being deducted from my payroll before enrollment began.

Who told you that you could not cancel it? Call the actual insurance company and see if you _can_ cancel it. If so, your employer would need to stop taking out deductions.
