Posted: Thu Oct 13, 2011 12:17 pm   Post subject:    If you are renting a car in Mexico, trust the rental agency (Hertz, Avis, etc, but not Juan Pollo's Rent a Wreck) to provide you with the proper insurance. Driving in Mexico without MEXICAN AUTO insurance is a criminal offense. Your USA auto policy is meaningless south of the border, as far as the Mexican authorities are concerned.
