There are some fictional or unvalidated earning figures which claim that a person selling final expense policies can earn up to $106,000 a year which comes down to about $500 a week. In my opinion, the earnings from selling Final Expense policies should almost be the same as Life Insurance policies.

Let's hope you do your insurance business better than you do the math.

$106,000 / 52 (# weeks in a year) = $2038.41 per week. (Or $2021.00 per week if you take two weeks off for a vacation.)

This makes no sense. Final Expense IS life insurance. Either way an agent earning $106,000 per year would be doing rather nicely.

Making $106,000 in commissions isn't so hot. Considering that we are probably talking about an independent contractor status, one needs to subtract business expenses, taxes, and factor in the complete lack of benefits.

If this agent also has a catering company and makes money teaching insurance classes, they are probably ok.
