insurance adjuster

I was in a car accident sept. 2010. Suffered severe nerve damage in my left arm which is still recovering now and permanent loss to one of my shoulder muscles.( I was a backseat passenger in the car) In late April of this year my attorney told me he sent the emand package to the adjuster and was waiting to hear back from them. On the 1st of this month I had called the office and spoke to him to see if he's heard back and he said not yet and that there was no time limit on when they will respond. My questions would be why has it taken so long for them to get back to us? Why wouldn't the attorney give a time limit? And the biggest question would be like I stated before I am still recoveringg from the accident. While my arm is no longer fully paralyzed I still don't have 100% use of it yet. Anpossibly some form of surgery if it doesn't recover(which my neurologist and ot therapist thing I willl gain full use? Would the offer make a difference in my claim? If I have surgery or not at this point in time since. Its been almost 2 years? The offers are 100k and 25k the max from both insurance companies

It is not uncommon for a response to a demand to take longer than 30 days. If you are concerned with your attorney’s performance, don’t be afraid to communicate that thought to him or her. Be mindful, if you are unable to reach an agreement with the two insurance carriers you might have to file a lawsuit to protect your rights. In most states, you have two years from the date of the loss to file a lawsuit.

I think last week I got 5 new claims, 3 BI demands, had to discuss 3 or 4 large losses, who know how many calls and probably drafted 50 letters. Yes, sometimes it can take longer then 30 days. It's not typical but it's not uncommon either.

As far as all of your other questions... you probably want to be speaking to your attorney about those matters as you are paying him 33 1/3 of your settlement.

Thanks for the responses. Just got a call from my attorney's office and the secretary told me that the adjuster working on my case quit without notice. So after speaking with the supervisor they are getting another adjuster and going to expedite it. Hopefully this time it will be quicker

I'm just kidding... it's been one of those days. I'm glad that your claim is being addressed and I'm hoping it won't take too much longer.
