How to get the insurance company to allocate more funds

Hello, we recently had a water line break in the upstairs toliet that damaged the kitchen counter/drywall and 85% floors in the house. After the deductable the sum of $400 plus dollars was left to get started with the work. The estimate for the flooring was not calculated because the adjuster said he did not have the correct pricing. He had an outside flooring company come in and perform measuments. How can I begin my project and have more money allocated? I believe everything should have been added as one sum minus the deductable/deprecation. We went out pricing material yesterday and found out that the supplies needed superceeds the amount given.

If I understand this correctly... the adjuster issued a partial payment and then had a flooring company basically come up with the additional amount required to repair the damage. Have you called the adjuster and asked about the additional payment?
