how do we fight this no pay no play law?

my spouse was in a wreck that was not her fault and the car is more than likely totalled and she has been to the doctor with injuries. she had no internet access but knew her agent well and gave her her debit card number and told her to pay for her. after the wreck the other parties insurance co. told her that hers was lapsed and they dont have do pay. she had no way of knowing hers lapsed and now mysteriously the agent no longer works with the co. what can we do, she has no ride to work, no income for dr's bills and she still owes less than year on her car. how can we fight this? plz give me some advice or steps to take to resolve this issue.

The insurance company would send bills and then they would send warnings and then they would send a cancellation letter.

and now mysteriously the agent no longer works with the co

The agent went from being well known to a "mystery"? How did this happen?

plz give me some advice or steps to take to resolve this issue.

File suit against the agents office or whoever the agent was working for.

How does a total stranger use someone else's debit card? You mean, credit card? Your wife never saw that the card was not changed?

The agency will of course deny that they knew anything about a charge card or that they were supposed to pay the bill. They will also point out that several letter were sent to your wife to inform her that the payment had not been made. They will also point out that your wife should have checked and seen that the payment was never made.

Do I think No pay/No play is fair/correct? Nope. It's their to save insurance companies money, period.

Not having the internet is not a excuse. People had incurance long before the internet and expected someone else to pay the bill is retarded. They will mail you a bill if you dont pay it online...Thats like trying to say you didnt know the speed limit when you get puled over. and yes a no pay/ no play law is very fair. it is there to protect people who obey the law
