Hello all and thanks in advance. Heres my situation tell me what you think from all angles. So im at a four way stop im the only car so there are none in ffront or behind me. The only other cars are to my right. I of course wait until the first car goes then it was my turn so I went ahead. Now once im almost through the intersection bam the car to the right hits me. The damage was to my passenger side front quarter panel and the front of the passenger side door. The damage to the other vehicle was dead center in middle of the bumper. Its a gmc sierra so a big truck. It was so dead in the center that the "m" in the gmc logo was knocked off but not the others. So heres where it gets tricky. I measured from my stop sign to the point of impact. I went 66 feet and the other car went 33 feet. So I was already in the intersection Nd actually almost through because the way the four way is set up before she collided. Of course she told her insurance company she was first. She wasnt. I dont have the police reportbut her statement was "I guess we both werent paying attention". As soon as she walked the officer said is that your side of the story I said " no she ran the stop sign". No citations were given. So any info or advice is apreciated.

As you alluded to, the point of impact being to your side and the other person's front would indicate that you had control of the intersection. You do also want to bring up the distances as this would, again, show that you entered the intersection well before the other person.

For there to be a collision at a 4 way stop means that someone really need to have their head up their butt.

You might want to rethink this statement. You were obviously not the only car there.

As tcope said, it is apparent that the other party was at fault on this one. File your claim with the other party's insurance company and see what happens. If they deny your claim, come back for more advice.
