I hit a pet dog while I was parking. No damage to my car. Should I pay for the vet bills out of my pocket or let my liability cover pay for it?

The pet dog will be considered property, and your property damage liability will supposedly offer coverage.
Has the owner claimed ? If he has not yet, I would suggest paying for the medical bills on your own. The claim would be a taint on your records, which can be avoided.

You may not necessarily be liable for the animal's injuries. The owner could have been negligent in not securing the animal from injury.
