I was a passenger in a no fault to my driver accident. We were hit at a red light when the other driver hit us on the side. I got a masssive cut requiring 17 staples to my head. I now have some short term memory problems and my back has been severly messed up ever since. My atty said i wouldnt get nothing for my back because we cant prove an injury like that. I have payed out of pocket for all my dr visits and i have no med insurance at all so getting help i need hasnt been easy at all i still take meds 4 different ones a day. It has almost been a year already. and only last onth did my lawyer say we r now i the demand phase. then just now told me they asked for information on my medical bills. How long can this go on. I was a student in college and havent been able to go back because of the brain injury so I now owe the school 2000 and they want their money but i have no income and i am struggling as it is .

_You_ are the one making the demand... _you_ are the one that can file suit. The at fault party has _no_ obligation to make any offer. So it's all under your control.

You say it's taking a long time but your attorney took a year to send in a demand. Now the other person's carrier wants more information.

Injury claims take a long time. Your attorney needs to wait until you are about done treating. Sometimes they are working many cases and can wait a year after someone appears to be done treating before sending in a demand.

Lastly, you are paying your attorney 33% of your money... why not ask your attorney for this information since he knows the case better then anyone.

You can claim for pain and suffering along with the medical injuries (for what you said about the back).
