Peo? or Employee Leasing?

I started using a peo for my business. This is how it works in short. I fire my employees, they hire them and lease them back to me and reduce my costs and paperwork. Seriously, this is just how direct the company rep explained it to me...

The Peo handles employee health benefits, 401k programs, workers compensation, life and disability, unemployment, payroll and all the local state and federal bull.

I write one check per payroll and everything is handled for me and my employees. This relationship seems to save my business money while reducing our hr costs..

In short, is this a good idea for my business and employees? This is the site of the company I use planmarc.com but there are several sources on the web. Any pros or cons woould be helpfull but so far I just see pros....

I would not even touch this one lakeman, firing employees sounds like a labor law scam to me, Ouch, sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Yes this seems to be getting you into some sort of a scam. I still don't know how your employees are accepting to your terms of firing them...when they know that it is gonna affect their CVs in the long run - Coloridge-river

How does your employees explain the firing to their next job if they decide not to stay with you and this other company. I don't think this is an acceptable practice, I sure the heck would not go for it, and if you fired me under these circumstances, you would be speaking to an attorney on my behalf. Just me and the way I would handle it, just does not seem right, these people should be doing the hiring for you on new hires if you want to do it that way, but whole practice of firing people to save some money is unbelievable to me.

Is this a temporary agency that you put in place or is this a staffing agency that you use. I can see where you may save money because if they were doing this with other companies they could put all the employees in one pool and pay for a larger insurance company and other benefits in a larger package. I guess what has really got people fired up here is the terminology that you "fire" your employees. Do you give them an option if they were working for you prior to using this company. Maybe offering the option is what you meant? Older employees could be grandfathered in and often are in these types of situations.
